ACADEMIC ADVISING
Cal Poly offers a network of academic services, seminars and advisors designed
to assist with and support your student's academic achievement.
CAL POLY'S ADVISING WEB PAGE
The University is committed to providing a broad spectrum of advising resources
to all students from the time they apply to the University through graduation.
Advisors help students avoid time-consuming and costly mistakes so that they can
graduate on time. Students who visit an advisor regularly have more
control of their goals and plans and feel less stressed about their academic
progress. Cal Poly recently established a University-wide
ADVISING WEB PAGE to assist
students in locating the appropriate advising resources.
The Advising Web page includes
ADVISING
RESOURCES, which lists the different types of advisors available at Cal
Poly. This listing can help students find an advisor who meets their
specific needs.
It also includes and
ADVISING HANDBOOK, which answers many questions about academic expectations
and lists additional resources for students, faculty and staff.
PROGRESS TO DEGREE IS MY STUDENT ON TRACK TO GRADUATE?

DEGREE PROGRESS PAGE for course requirements, substitutions and evaluations resources. They should also stay in frequent touch with an academic advisor.
