HIRE A STUDENT
Offering internship, summer, and co-operative education opportunities to students is a resourceful way for Cal Poly parents to contribute to a student's academic progress and serve as mentors. Students gain work experience in a professional environment while applying course material from their studies. With adequate planning, internships can be valuable learning experiences for students who in return, offer valued project assistance and innovative ideas to their employers.

Parents may also provide full-time employment opportunities. Employers may post their opportunities through Cal Poly's own "Mustang Jobs" online job listing service. Employers are also invited to campus to participate in job fairs and campus interview dates, arranged through CAREER SERVICES.

"The growth our interns experience and the work they produce in such a short period of time are remarkable. Each of the projects completed by students has created significant efficiencies in production, resulting in savings of more than $200,000 annually at Anaerobe Systems."
